Special Events

From our

From time to time musicians from Peace Lutheran Church are involved in special events. All musical groups come together for a celebration of musical praise for Epiphany each January 6th. Also, during the summer months we welcome musicians from Hutchinson and the surrounding area to participate in our recital series, which is held every Wednesday, at noon, for six weeks.

Paul Otte welcomes anyone to be part of our music program. If you are interested in serving our Lord as a soloist, instrumentalist, accompanist or in another ensemble, please contact Paul Otte at the church office, 587-3031.

Sunday Night Live

From our

This group is a Praise Band, leading worship on Sunday nights at 6:15. It features guitars, keyboard, percussion and lead singers. Rehearsals are before the service. Contact Rett Young or Ted Stroming if you would like to participate.

Cherub Choir

From our

This choir consists of children in grades 1-3. Its rehearsal time is also after school. Check the master calendar for this year's time schedule. As with the older children, this group has snack time, play time and musical training time. It also praises God during worship services about twice a month.

Messenger Choir

From our

This choir is designed for the older elementary students, starting at grade 4. Rehearsal is usually after school so that most participants can walk over from Park Elementary School. The director meets them at "the rock" and escorts them over to church. Rehearsal time consists of an after-school snack, play time and practice time. This choir praises God about twice a month.

Hosanna Handbells

From our

Ringing in a handbell choir is challenging and fun. If you can count, you can be part of this unique choir. We rehearse for an hour at 6p.m. on Wednesday evenings and play once or twice a month in worship, depending on everyone's schedules. Our congregation is fortunate to have a large collection of handbells, so we could use lots of volunteers for this choir.

Praise Team

From our

 This group of musicians leads the Praise and Worship songs at the 9:20 service on Sunday mornings. Most songs are done in unison or with simple harmonies. We also have special emphasis Sundays, such as the Gospel Music Sunday each spring. Rehearsals are every other Monday at 7p.m. Peggy Weispfenning will be directing this choir during the 2011-2012 season.

Peace Singers

From our

All singers of high school age or older are welcome to be part of this group. We sing a variety of styles of music and offer them to God in the 8:00 or 10:30 worship services and on special occasions. We rehearse on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. You do not have to be able to read music to sing with us. Join us and help us make a joyful noise!
