Bible Study Opportunities

Please find listed below some of the current Bible Studies available at Peace Lutheran Church. 

Bible Studies

SUNDAY MORNING

8:20 a.m. Sunday in the Office Conference Room. "Journey Through the Old Testament"

The class will have the opportunity to participate in a journey through the 39 books of the Old Testament. The journey will present in summary form a chronological understanding along with highlighting events and characters, related to the time between creation and the birth of Jesus. The knowledge gained on this Old Testament Journey will set the stage for the next phase which is the study of select verses from the prophet Isaiah.

9:20am Sunday at Prince of Peace "Lessons for Life through the Parables of Jesus"

And Jesus told them a parable. Did you know two thirds of the recorded words of Jesus are parables. It was a common teaching method of teaching for Jesus. Jesus the great teacher used parables to help believers understand spiritual lessons for living a life pleasing to God. Questions such as"Why did Jesus tell parables?" and "Why did Jesus tell more parables in his 3rd year of ministry?" will be addressed during this class.

10:30am Office Conference Room "It's a Miracle"

The words "It's a Miracle" mean many things to different people. Some people do not believe in miracles, that they are humanly impossible or only make believe. But as Christians we know that with God nothing is impossible including miracles. The class will focus on select miracles of Jesus along with addressing the question, "Does God do miracles today?"

WEEKDAY STUDIES

Promise Keepers

A Bible Fellowship study for men focused on living a life of faithfulness and Obedience as followers of Jesus that meets every Tuesday at 6:30PM in the Library.

Bible Buddies

A Women's Bible Fellowship providing for the study of scripture in relationship to timely topics along with opportunities to attend gathering such as "Woman of Faith". This group meets the First Tuesday of the month at 7:00PM in the Upper Conference Room.

Woman of Peace

"God in My Laundry Room," Coffee, Fellowship, and Scripture as the participants come to a greater understanding of God's desire to be part of their total life. This group meets in the Upper Conference room at 1:30pm on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.

TWM Women

A gathering of faithful single women eager to grow in the Word, in fellowship, and in how to live a life pleasing to God. TWM meets every 1st and 4th Tuesday of the month at 6:00PM in the Upper Conference Room.

Body&Soul

An opportunity to gather with fellow believers for light exercise and a devotional meditation. Located in room 207 every monday at 9:00am.

Prince of Peace

An informal gathering centered on a cup of coffee and the discussion of Bible Truths for today's world. Located at Prince of Peace and it meets every Tuesday at 10:30am

Noon Bible Study

Each Wednesday, a tasty lunch is erved beginning at 11:45am, followed by a short study of a Bible event or truth. The lunch, fellowship and the study comes to a close on or before 12:45pm.
